// Mercedes-Benz

Mercedes, at dealer depth.

Mercedes moved on. The old C3 and C4 multiplexers were built for a car generation that is ageing out, and newer chassis expect DoIP over Ethernet. If you are buying an interface today, buy the one that speaks the current protocol.

Why DoIP matters now

Diagnostics over IP replaced the older K-line and CAN-only paths on recent Mercedes platforms. It is faster, and on many modules it is the only way in for programming work. An interface without DoIP will read faults on an older car and then leave you stuck the moment you touch something current. The VCX SE handles both, so one box covers the older W204/W212 era and the newer stuff.

What you can actually do

Full-system fault reading and clearing across engine, transmission, SBC/ABS, airbag, COMAND, and body modules; service resets; guided tests; and — with your licensed software — coding and SCN work. This is the difference between knowing a light is on and knowing which actuator to order.

Hardware here, software yours

We ship the interface. Xentry is Mercedes software and you run it under your own licence. We are explicit about this because the alternative — bundles with cracked dealer software — is how people end up with an unusable tool and a legal problem.
