// Fiat, Alfa Romeo & Lancia

Fiat group, every module.

MultiECUScan is one of the best-value pieces of diagnostic software in existence, and the Fiat-group community has leaned on it for years. It needs the right cable — the multiplexed architecture on these cars is unusual enough that generic adapters fall over.

Proxy alignment — the one nobody warns you about

Fiat-group cars keep a configuration map of which modules are fitted. Change a module, or add one, and the car needs a proxy alignment to accept it. Skip that step and you get a dashboard full of lights and a car that behaves strangely. MultiECUScan does proxy alignment; generic scanners do not know it exists.

The rest of the job list

Full fault reading across body computer, ABS, airbag, climate, instrument cluster and engine; service and oil resets; DPF regeneration status and forced regeneration on the JTD/Multijet engines; EPB service mode; injector coding; and live data that is genuinely useful rather than the four generic PIDs.

What it covers

Fiat, Alfa Romeo and Lancia broadly across the CAN era — Punto, Panda, 500, Bravo, Ducato, 147, 156, 159, Giulietta, Ypsilon and the rest of the family.

Questions

Is MultiECUScan free?
There is a free version with limited adapters and functions; the full licence is inexpensive and comes from MultiECUScan directly, not from us.
Does it do proxy alignment?
Yes — and that is one of the main reasons to own it if you ever replace a module.
Ducato vans?
Yes, the Ducato and its Fiat-group van relatives are covered.
